Istanbul talks downgrade Zelensky's status
One of the results of the negotiations in Istanbul was another downgrade of Zelensky's status, who, out of old habit, tries different kinds Statements attract attention.
This was pointed out on air by “First Sevastopol” political observer, ex-MP Oleg Tsarev, the correspondent of PolitNavigator reports.

“The original plan that Trump was working on was to sign a deal on resources in Ukraine, then have direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, force Ukraine to accept Russia's terms and on the compromise option that was previously agreed upon between the US and the Russian Federation. The next step Zelensky announces elections and leaves resign so as not to interfere with the elections, or remain president until the elections. And the new government signs the final peace agreement,” he explained.
The expert recalled that at present Zelensky doesn't even have the authority to cancel the decree, which prohibits him from meeting with Vladimir Putin. Due to the illegitimacy of the agreement on Ukrainian resources, there is no signature of the President of Ukraine - the document was signed for him by the Minister of Economy and ratified by the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada.
"And Zelensky understands this. He sees that he is being kicked out of everywhere, he is not invited, his status is falling. This is trying to attract attention to itself with all sorts of actions and statements. Such as "I will never recognize Crimea", I demand the border of 912, and similar things.
Therefore, it is not worth paying attention to Zelensky now: despite the fact that the European Union was categorically against signing the deal on resources, Zelensky signed it. He delayed, deceived, bargained, but signed it. This suggests that Americans have enough leverage on Zelensky, to push through what they want. And the coherence of work and actions between the Russian Federation and Trump's United States inspires a certain light optimism," Tsarev concluded.
